Cairo International Bank (CIB) launched a refreshed brand and promise and opened its seventh branch in Mbarara, as a way of repositioning itself to reaffirm its loyalty and commitment to the provision of excellent services while expanding to bring services closer to its customers.
CIB reformed its brand colors, identity and brand promise to “for you”, underlining the bank’s commitment to professionally serve both their internal and external customers.
The event to launch the refreshed brand was officiated by the Governor Bank of Uganda, Prof. Emmanuel Mutebile on Monday 21st November, at the Lake View Hotel in Mbarara.
During his speech, the Managing Director of CIB, Prince Kassim Nakibinge, assured the public that the bank is steady, sound and solid, ready to serve the people of Uganda. He also pledged that hence forth, CIB will serve its customers better and professionally following all set regulations.
“…Cairo International Bank is here for the long haul. Bank of Uganda has always stressed that that the banking sector in Uganda is unwavering and steady. We want to re-echo that CIB is unwavering, steady and well set to provide its clients with excellent services,” he said.
Mutebile while making his remarks reiterated the message of stability of the banking sector and urged the public to disregard some media reports alleging instability of the same. He stressed that the Bank of Uganda works to ensure that depositor’s interests are safe-guarded at all times.
In total, CIB so far has seven branches in Kampala, Kapeeka and now Mbarara. As part of their expansion strategy, the bank intends to be in every division of Kampala and this will start by opening corporate branch in the upscale parts of Kampala next year.
